summer

Rebecca & Patrick | New York City Wedding Photography

Summer in the city is a beautiful thing, and New York summers are no exception. Rebecca and Patrick both live in the city, and met at a basketball game viewing hosted by a mutual friend. Just two years later, and they are getting hitched! I had a blast at their engagement session - their clean, classic style looked perfectly at home strolling through Central Park. These lovebirds will be tying the knot in Charleston this fall, and I couldn't be happier for them!

A Signature Welcome Summer Editorial Shoot | Charleston Wedding Photography

Sessions with the lovely ladies over at A Signature Welcome are always a treat to share, and even more fun to shoot! Emily and Lindsay met their freshman year at the University of Georgia, and a decade later found themselves reunited in Charleston. Both avid wedding style and design junkies, the pair dreamed up A Signature Welcome to create perfectly curated custom welcome gifts for weddings and events. Not only are they drop dead gorgeous, these two have some serious styling skills, with professional backgrounds in fashion and the wedding magazine industries. Their attention to luxe detail is unparalleled, yet their work is delightfully cheerful and unpretentious. We had so much fun with this sun-drenched styled shoot! From the cool vintage Land Rover to a beach picnic, days with these two always end in smiles.

Jennifer & Alan | Thomas Bennett House Wedding | Charleston Wedding Photography

It's not often I get to share a wedding as sweet and personal as this one. Jennifer and Alan decided to tie the knot in a small, private ceremony on the lush lawn of Charleston's historic Thomas Bennett House in April, and it couldn't have been a more romantic day. The ceremony and reception were filled with unique touches, like wood cut cake toppers honoring the bride and groom's respective heritages (Ireland for him, and the good old USA for her), and even a tiny monogrammed tree slice to present the rings! Speaking of details, can we talk about that dress? Jennifer's jaw dropping Art Deco inspired beaded gown in dusty rose was the perfect choice to complement her side swept auburn hair. Their ear-to-ear grins are contagious, and I couldn't be happier for these sweethearts!
