For the Couple Who Wants More Than Pretty Pictures
Your wedding photographs should do more than document the day. They should bring you back to it.
As a Charleston wedding photographer, I blend editorial portraiture with documentary storytelling to create images that feel both timeless and deeply personal. With a combination of medium format film and digital photography, my approach is guided enough to make you feel confident and natural, while leaving room for the moments you never could have planned.
The result is a collection that feels like your wedding, not a photoshoot.

AN EDITORIAL APPROACH TO
Documentary Wedding Photography
Film wedding photography is not a trend.
It’s a choice.
As a Charleston film wedding photographer, I work primarily with medium format film to create images with depth, softness, and timeless character. Working in medium format film slows the process in the best way. It encourages intention, patience, and attention to light. The result is imagery with softness, depth, and a timeless quality that digital alone rarely produces.
Blending film with refined digital coverage allows weddings across Charleston, Kiawah Island, and the Southeast to be documented with both artistry and reliability.
If you’re curious how film shapes a wedding gallery and what makes this process different, I’ve written a guide that explains my approach.
As a Charleston wedding photographer, I regularly photograph celebrations throughout the historic district and along the South Carolina coast. My work has taken me from waterfront estates like Lowndes Grove to historic homes such as William Aiken House, garden venues like Middleton Place, and coastal celebrations at Kiawah Island. Whether a wedding takes place beneath the oaks at Boone Hall Plantation or in the heart of downtown Charleston at the Gadsden House, each setting brings its own rhythm, light, and atmosphere.
